Just an Update
So life isn't too shabby. Work is going really well, I mean I'm still poor but I am attending Penn Foster online to become a certified technician. I have to make payments but I didn't have to take a loan out! I was able to transfer a good chunk of classes from my previous college to cut out all the basic stuff I have already done. During my down time I do my school work. They give you a year for each semester but I'm almost done my first one and I started in October.
I now have really bad acid reflux aka G.E.R.D. Not fun but I'm on a couple meds for a few months so hopefully that helps out a bit. I ended up lost some weight because I wasn't able to eat anything for like a week. Thanks to eating well and hard work I was able to get a pair of skinny jeans at Old Navy size 4! holy smokes I don't ever remember being that size. I still get a little heartburn here and there when I eat certain foods or eat way too fast but it is a lot better. I found out my mom has it as well as my brother so now I see where it comes from...awesome.
Christmas was great, we may have had no snow but I felt festive enough. Listened to enough Christmas music to last me until next year and then some. Corey and I decorated the apartment and we have a little fake tree but it works for how small the place is. I was only able to buy him a couple presents this year because of how broke I was. I don't get holiday pay so that really hurts me this month because of how many days we are closed and it ends up being on a Friday which is my 10 hour work day. I spend the holidays with my family. My brother and sister in law decided to surprise us Christmas day! They came all the way from Colorado Springs, I hadn't seen them in a year and I did miss them a lot so it was the best present I could ever get! They are only here for a short while but that's okay. The boyfriend went up North so we are waiting to do our Christmas today when he gets back. I did bake a crap ton of cookies and put them in mason jars with some chocolate and gave them to my co workers and a few other people. They were a huge hit! and I made gluten free gingerbread cookies for my gluten free coworker. They were so good omg!
I hope next year is just as wonderful as this year. My new job, going back to school, the boyfriend and I doing great, baking and cooking more (getting better every time). Corey wants to start building his house this coming spring so hopefully that goes swell! Corey's roommate is also going to be going to NY for almost a year for his job next year so it will just be Corey and I which is nice and lowers my grocery bill whoot! I don't have to worry about including him in dinners. Once house Is built the next step will be our PUPPIES. Corgi and black lab:)
I have been appreciating baking more now and getting more baking gadgets. my mom got me a 6 jumbo muffin pan from a really nice pottery place in New Hampshire. It is just like the one she has. I made chocolate chip muffins last night:) She also got my Sally's Candy Addiction, her second book, for Christmas! so that is my next step with baking..CANDY! I just need a candy thermometer and a nice sauce pan and double boiler..so it might be a little bit before I actually start doing the candy thing..probably wait until the house is built so I have an actual working stove and it will be gas range since I convinced the boyfriend to get one.
One of my close friends had a baby in November and the other is due end of April..so baby fever and engagement fever is all over the place. ew babies but id love me a ring some day..maybe who knows.
