March 2020
In like a lion out like a lamb as they say. This year has already has had its ups and downs. Along with going through some personal things in my relationship i finally graduated Penn Foster after 4 years and it feels damn good. February 22 was the actual day i was done. Externship was a lot of work but i really enjoyed it. the large animal was really fun and i learned a lot. I remember i was at work on that Saturday and got the email and just hooted and hollered in excitement. The doctor i was working with was happy for me too. it is a huge relief off my shoulders for sure.
the next thing is to sit for the VTNE this summer. It's better to keep the information fresh and going then wait and take it later on. Once i am done i can really just relax. The test cost $320 which is beyond ridiculous but I have someone who will be helping me pay which is great.
The weather is getting warmer which is great because ill start back up hiking again. I did some snowshoeing this winter but the snow never stayed long enough for me to do it more than a few times on my days off. There is still ice on the trails as i have gone a few times now so i have to wait a little longer as it was very difficult to hike without crampons and proper footwear for ice.
I need to get a pair of hiking boots that are waterproof for the muddy times. the ones i have now are more shoe like and not waterproof. they are great just cant use them all the time
I am turning 30 this year which is crazy. Definitely doesn't feel like it. I am exercising regularly, jog 5 days a week, and just trying to stay healthy.
Things are about to get busy at work as we have a technician gone for maternity leave. earlier than expected but babies never come when they are supposed to.
In my personal life things are okay, not great not terrible but we shall see where life takes me i guess. nothing i can do except time will tell.
The pup is good, got her a harness for hiking. looks cute and works well. she has been acting like a toddler lately and misbehaving quite a bit. Got to start some training with her.
I look forward to my birthday weekend as i am going to new hampshire to stay at an airbnb for the long weekend in the white mountains with my best friend and her husband. will do all my favorite things. hopefully the weather is decent.
update: the coronavirus has shit the world and now will not be going to new hampshire to air bnb because the hosts canceled. my 30th is not going to be that fabulous after all. was really looking forward to it. super bummed. by than we'll probably quarantined into our own towns and wont be able to leave.
stores running out of cleaning supplies medicine and toilet paper because people ate stocking up on stuff they probably wont even end up needing right away. while other people cant get their normal stuff when they actually run out. you people suck stop panicking. disneyland is closed. all big events and colleges are closing or canceling. traveling is shutting down internationally. its crazy. drug prices are sky rocketing. on drugs that we use at work a lot or even in the human field. the economy is gonna tank. its gonna effect your life in one way or another whether you get sick or not. and if you do hopefully they pass the paid sick time or else no one can afford not to work if they are out two weeks with no pay. its impossible.
everyone calm the heck down.
will have to take this one day at a time. see you next month
cheers.
