The Holidays
Around this time last year I was struggling a lot for money and in fact my parents had to pay for my bills last Christmas because I was hourly and not getting paid holidays or "snow days". And there were quite a bit. BUT this year I have been salary since the summer and making more and a lot less stressed this year then last. I bought my boyfriend gifts and my parents. I was not able to get him a birthday present this year and I have not bought my parents gifts in awhile. It felt good to be able to do it this year. I love giving presents to people! I love seeing them smile. I wish I could afford things for my friends but I don't have that much extra money. I have my student loans plus the money I'm spending now being in Penn Foster online school to become licensed.
Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. Being in Maine makes it even better because of the snow. Most people find it stressful and miserable but I find it happy and festive. I'm all about the music, and movies, and decorations. I love spending it with my family every year. I am hoping next Christmas I will have a little fur kid of my own to spoil:) I can't believe that Christmas is next weekend. This month has gone by way too fast. My parents Christmas present from them this year was the best one yet! Being able to go to San Francisco to see my best friend. It was perfect! Exactly what I needed:)
Thanksgiving was great because my brother and sister-in law came to visit! We got to spend some time with them:) They might move back to Maine but they have a lot to decide on before doing that if they do. I am all for it! They like the Freeport area which is like 15 mins from me:)
Trying hard to finish my second semester of school. Work has slowed down a bit and I haven't been able to get all my videos. I will be doing quite the baking this week starting today with some cookies for someone's birthday tomorrow and then a cake and peppermint puppy chow for our work's Christmas Party Sunday. I can't wait to go! It was good last year but I think it will be even better this year with more people.
